Cousin Love

As Madeline gets older, Nolan and her are really becoming buddies (dispite a few tiffs here and there ;) They like to pretend they are newborns - get the bottles, the Moses basket, the papasan... ohh... brand new babies :)

Maybe it is because of their adorable new baby cousin... Sadie. Matt is here giving her a snack...mmm...

Madeline also ALWAYS wants to be where we are... if I am doing the dishes - she wants to be on the counter... So here she is in the sink... taking a bath while I clean up after dinner. Silly girl!

Finally... what a little artist! She LOVES to "hi-lo" (her pronunciation of color). We usually color several times a day :)

Pastini

So here we are at Pastini Restaurant in Bridgeport. We went here the other night after we visited some friends' new baby in the hospital. They were eating Pastini and it just sounded so good! Madeline liked it, especially the bread... oh carbs! Then we went to the little playground there and played for awhile. She's so much fun!

Summer fun

Here you see my toddler modeling her lastest fashions! She is quite the accessory girl!!! She LOVES shoes, necklaces, bracelets, and she's starting to even love purses. We went to the Lincoln City Outlets and grandma Barb bought her the rain boots, Hello Kitty purse, and Disney princesses pearl bracelet. Mommy bought her the dolphin necklace and bracelet at Moe's (clamchowder). She also is really getting into singing - see the picture below - and her lastest favorite is Itsy Bitsy Spider.

In the above water fountain pics, we met Grandma Sue, Lindsey, and Nolan at Tanner Creek Park in West Linn for some water fun. They were pretty brave about running in the fountains :) Wow is she growing up!

Weekend fun

Daddy was gone backpacking in Eight Lake Basin for most of the weekend, so Madeline and I had a girls weekend together!

On Friday night we went shopping with Lindsey, Nolan, and peanut Hammon. I bought Madeline her first pair of real tennis shoes - I really should have a picture of them on here - they are so cute! They are white Pumas with a sparkly pink stripe down the middle of them :)

Then on Saturday we went to Stroller Strides and had coffee with a friend afterward. Saturday night we went to a 3 year old's birthday party. The pics are posted above. Madeline was enjoying the watermelon as you can see on her face.

Sunday morning we went and worked in the nursery at church together, then off to a baby shower dessert party for a friend at Papa Hayden's on 23rd. I think Madeline may be more of a salty person sometimes than a sweet. She was more interested in the fries one girl had than my banana cream pie.

Finally when we came home daddy was home too. We were hungry for dinner but too tired to cook so we went to Mazatlan. Madeline was copying us - dipping her chips in the bean dip :) After dinner they brought her a sucker - first one she'd ever had, and boy did she like it!
